July 2019 was wet, sunny and warm.  Sixteen days of the month had maximum temperatures of at least 85°. Maximum temperature of 96 degrees was recorded on the 21st, and a minimum temperature of 59 degrees was recorded on the 8th.  Daytime high temperatures averaged 84.42 degrees, 4.82 above the norm.  Evening temperatures averaged 66.68 degrees, 3.28 degrees above the norm.  

Sunshine at the Blue Hills Observatory totaled 69% of the possible sunshine hours, 12 points above average. We had 9 days with 90% or greater of possible sunshine, while on 2 days there was no sunshine at all and one day with 1% sunshine. 

Precipitation totaled 5.85 inches.  This is 2.53 inches above normal.  We had measurable precipitation on 8 days; 7 of those days had more than 0.10 inches.  The largest 24-hour rainfall was 2.47 inches on the 23rd. Year-to-date rainfall for 2019 is 33.98 inches, 5.5 inches above the average for East Wareham.
