How has our changing climate affected the health of our landscape plants? Are stressed plants more prone to insect infestation? What timely, new and expected insects of importance are prevalent on landscapes? Rick Harper, Extension Assistant Professor in Urban & Community Forestry, addresses many of these relevant questions and outlines management strategies for the future. Also, a strong understanding of a product’s active ingredient is necessary to get the most out of an herbicide application. Randy Prostak will discuss characteristics and use patterns of commonly used landscape herbicides.
