Hi Fruit Growers,

I hear Spring is coming! Our first twilight meeting is definitely coming. The twilight meeting will be Thursday, April 17th at 5:30 at Steere Orchard, 150 Austin Ave., Greenville, RI. We are going to have an apple grafting workshop! Wes Autio, from UMass and Win Cowgill (Rutgers) are going to teach us all how to graft apple trees. We've collected scion wood and are storing it at 32 degrees. Jim Steere has old Red Delicious trees for us to practice on! This will be fun and educational! Feel free to invite your friends! The cost of the meeting is $20 for non-RIFGA members and free to members. At the meeting you can pay your RIFGA annual dues of $40.

At the meeting we will have a light dinner and short presentations on what is currently going on in orchards and other fruit. Two hours of pesticide recertification credits will be available.
