UMass Snow Mold Field Day - Bretton Woods, NH

Event date/time:
Friday, April 24, 2015 - 8:00am to 11:00am

The UMass Turf Pathology Lab's snow mold trials are used for testing new and commonly used snow mold fungicides/bio products against native populations of pink snow mold (Microdochium nivale) and Typhula blight (Typhula spp.).  These field days provide an opportunity to see first-hand the results of the latest snow mold trials.  In the fall of 2014, treatments were applied on fairway turf.  Snow mold identification, fungicide options for snow mold control and snow mold biology will be covered at each program.

Registration

Registration is through the New Hampshire Golf Course Superintendents Association.  This field day will be held in conjunction with the monthly New Hampshire Golf Course Superintendents Association meeting.  A continental breakfast will be served from 8-9 AM.  Education (1 hour indoor session and a tour of the snow mold plots) will be held from 9-11 AM.

Follow the Turf Pathology lab on Twitter (@UMassTurfPath) for timely updates and pictures as we rate snow mold trials in the upcoming weeks.
