UMass Snow Mold Field Day - Queensbury, NY

Event date/time:
Monday, April 6, 2015 - 11:00am to 1:00pm

The UMass Turf Pathology Lab's snow mold trials are used for testing new and commonly used snow mold fungicides/bio products against native populations of pink snow mold (Microdochium nivale) and Typhula blight (Typhula spp.).  These field days provide an opportunity to see first-hand the results of the latest snow mold trials.  In the fall of 2014, treatments were applied on fairway turf.  Snow mold identification, fungicide options for snow mold control and snow mold biology will be covered at each program.

Two New York State pesticide contact hours have been approved for this program.

Registration

In the event of insufficient snow melt or inclement weather on 4/6, the snow date will be 4/13.

All registration is handled on-site on the day of the event and the fee is $20 (cash or check only, please). Registration includes light refreshments and the field efficacy results from each site.

Follow the Turf Pathology lab on Twitter (@UMassTurfPath) for timely updates and pictures as we rate snow mold trials in the upcoming weeks.
