UMass Snow Mold Field Day - South Deerfield, MA

Tuesday, April 14, 2015 - 10:00am to 12:00pm

This field day will provide an opportunity to see all types of snow mold (pink snow mold (Microdochium nivale) and Typhula blight (Typhula spp.) that commonly occur in the New England region on a wide variety of grass species and heights of cut.  There will also be some interesting case studies involving winter damage and the effect of summer fungicide applications on snow mold.  In addition, there is also a snow mold trial focusing on the effect of PCNB and turf pigments on phytotoxicity. mold identification, fungicide options for snow mold control, cultural practices to promote recovery and snow mold biology will all be covered.

Two pesticide contact hours have been approved for this program, valid for licenses in all New England states.

Registration

All registration is handled on-site on the day of the event and the fee is $20 (cash or check only, please).
