UMass Amherst’s Department of Food Science celebrated its 100th Anniversary in Bangkok, Thailand, during an international conference on the topic of meeting the needs of future generations. Speakers included ten UMass food scientists, along with those from Thailand, China Australia, South Korea, Germany and the United States. This UMass department was not only the first dedicated to food science in the nation, but is currently the top PhD program for food science in the United States. Longer story.
