Over 50 growers attended a September twilight meeting by the Extension Vegetable Program, held at Atlas Farm in Deerfield. Participants learned from the experts about options that surround produce wash stations that ensure good sanitation and food safety.

Amanda Kinchla, extension assistant professor of food science, offered details on developing useful Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Amanda Brown of the Stockbridge School presented information on the design of a mobile wash station, based on her experience with the UMass Student Farm.
