Technology Consulting and Support Services

A small team of information technology professionals provides support to faculty, staff and offices of the Center, Extension and allied departments and units. If you are unsure if you are eligible for support, feel free to contact Joe Shoenfeld (shoenfeld@cns.umass.edu) to discuss. The following types of support are available:

Desktop, Software and Equipment Support

We provide a range of desktop support specifically appropriate to the needs of individuals and units.

Services Support

We make available to the Center for Agriculture community online services that we purchase for use of faculty and staff. These include online meeting and conferencing, conference registration, website analytics, and email listservs.

General IT Support

We provide several types of 'background' support to keep websites and other operations running smoothly. These include web servers, website domain registration and file servers for file sharing and back-up.
