Workshops on greenhouse vegetables

The Greenhouse Research & Extension Program at UConn is holding a program on Greenhouse Vegetable Production in Hydroponics and Soilless Systems at the UConn Storrs campus for experienced growers who are already growing greenhouse vegetables and would like to improve their production techniques.

Featured speakers include:

  • Neil Mattson, Cornell University on Getting the Most out of the greenhouse environment
  • Ryan Dickson, University of New Hampshire, on Greener Greens: Strategies to Avoid Yellow Crops
  • Cora McGehee, UConn, on Biofungicides trials on Edible Greens (tour)
  • Richard McAvoy, UConn on Growing Vine Crops in the Greenhouse
  • Anissa Poleatewich, University of New Hampshire on Microbes in Hydroponic Crops
  • Elwood Roberts, Biobest on   Introduction to Basic Biological Control Concepts for Insect and Mite Pests

COST: $55/person by December 1, 2017, late registration $70 per person
