LEARN TO BE AN INSTRUCTOR
The 4-H Babysitters Training Course is a popular Short Term Special Interest (SPIN) program that teaches youth ages 11 and older what they need to know to be caring, trustworthy, responsible and competent babysitters. The program includes units on:
Safety
First Aid
Child Development
Nutrition
Entertaining Children
Business of Babysitting
4-H is looking to partner with libraries, recreation programs, after school programs and other youth serving agencies to offer this course so we are looking for more trained instructors. If interested in becoming trained contact Kim Pond at 508-831-1223 x114 or at kima@umext.umass.edu to register.
