Choosing fish

Choosing fish

There are lots of low-cost options when it comes to buying fish. Canned salmon is one inexpensive option, and it’s high in the heart-healthy omega-3 fats. Other fish that are high in omega-3 fats include trout, anchovies, herring, sardines, and Atlantic and Pacific mackerel. You might also try catfish, tilapia, pollock, flounder, and haddock when they are on sale at your local grocery store. Although the price per pound of fish might seem a little higher than that of some meats, you’re not paying for any waste like bones or fat. Have fish at least once each week and enjoy every ounce of what you pay for!
