As a Research Fellow in the Massachusetts Water Resources Research Center, Travis works on several projects related to water quality. He is the statewide coordinator for the Massachusetts Acid Rain Monitoring Project, a long-term volunteer sampling project. Travis is also the field coordinator and lead sampler for the Blackstone River sampling project. In addition to those sampling projects, Travis is also the Environmental Analysis Laboratory manager, where he analyses water samples for total phosphorus, chlorophyll-a, pH, alkalinity, or dissolved oxygen. Additionally, he coordinates conferences and workshops including the yearly North East Graduate Student Water Symposium (NEGSWS).
