Drawing on the expertise of over 60 faculty and professionals from the University of Massachusetts, the Agriculture and Green Industry Program helps the Commonwealth's vibrant agriculture and horticulture- related businesses solve problems through research and education. University scientists and educators, whose wide range of expertise includes agronomy, plant materials, integrated pest management, soils and nutrient management, assist food production agriculture and the horticultural industries as an important part of our environment and communities. UMass programs, from dairy farms to golf greens, cranberry bogs to greenhouses, help to keep Massachusetts agriculture and its Green Industries environmentally friendly and economically healthy, making the Commonwealth a better place to live.
