2018 UMass New Hampshire Snow Mold Field Day

Event date/time:
Thursday, April 26, 2018 - 9:30am to 12:00pm

Snow mold trials are used for testing new and commonly used snow mold fungicides/bio products against native populations of pink snow mold (Microdochium nivale) and Typhula blight (Typhula spp.). These field days provide an opportunity to see first-hand the results of the UMass Turf Program’s snow mold trials. In the fall of 2017, treatments were applied on fairway turf. Snow mold identification, fungicide options for snow mold control and snow biology will be covered at the field day. This is shaping as an excellent year to observe snow mold and products evaluated for snow mold control. In addition, we will also discuss the recent discovery of SDHI fungicide resistance and management implications.  We hope to see you at Mount Washington!
