Snow mold trials are used for testing new and commonly used snow mold fungicides/bio products against native populations of pink snow mold (Microdochium nivale) and Typhula blight (Typhula spp.). These field days provide an opportunity to see first-hand the results of the UMass Turf Program’s snow mold trials. In the fall of 2018, treatments were applied on fairway turf. Snow mold identification, fungicide options for snow mold control and snow mold biology will be covered at the field days. This year is shaping up to be an excellent year to observe snow mold and products evaluated for snow mold control. We hope that some of you can get away to look at new options for snow mold control and discuss all things turf pathology!
Registration is at the door. The cost is $20, payable by cash or check.
