Join us for the 89th Annual Bay State Livestock Classic
UMass student participants spend the spring semester training and fitting the animals they have chosen to show during the Classic. Students will show horses, cows, chickens, sheep and goats. The top four competitors then present a variety of animals in a bid to be selected as the day’s “Premier Showperson.”
This year, the Classic will feature a retirement ceremony to honor the service of University Mounted Patrol Unit Horses Miranda and Miller, for their combined 30+ years of service to the UMass community.
The event is open to the public, and admission is free of charge. Food, fun, and activities for kids of all ages.
