July 2018 was dry, sunny and with only two days with a maximum temperature of at least 90 degrees.  Ten days of the month had maximum temperatures equal or greater than 85°. Maximum temperature of 92 degrees was recorded on the 1st, and a minimum temperature of 53 degrees was recorded on the 21st.  Daytime high temperatures averaged 83.03 degrees, 3.03 degrees higher than the norm.  Evening temperatures averaged 65 degrees, 1.6 degrees above the norm.  

Sunshine at the Blue Hills Observatory totaled 70% of the possible sunshine hours, 13 points above average. We had 9 days with 94% or greater of possible sunshine, while on 2 days there was less than 3 % sunshine. 

Precipitation totaled 1.01 inches.  This is 2.31 inches below normal.  We had measurable precipitation on 3 days; 1 of those days had less than 0.10 inches.  The largest 24-hour rainfall was 0.58 inches on the 7th. Year-to-date rainfall for 2018 is 35.34 inches, 6.86 inches above the average for East Wareham.
