UMass Extension Crops, Dairy, Livestock & Equine Program

The UMass Extension Crops, Dairy, Livestock & Equine Program provides extension outreach information for equine, crop and dairy/livestock producers. Assistance is provided in development of production management strategies and viability assessment, and in obtaining information product quality, and environmental monitoring. The CDLE Team involves faculty and staff in the Depts of Plant, Soil, Insect Sciences, and Veterinary and Animal Sciences.

2022 Massachusetts Outstanding Dairy Farm

The University of Massachusetts Crops, Dairy, Livestock, and Equine team would like to congratulate Clessons River Farm for receiving the 2022 Outstanding Dairy Farm Award. Clessons River Farm is a five-generation dairy farm. The farm transitioned to robotics in 2019. Currently, Melissa and Paul Griffin are milking around 60 cows on roughly 330 acres of land.

UMass Research Farm Field Day 2022

Join us for a tour of current crop research at the farm and soil health demos at the Umass Research Farm. The research tour will go from 1-4:30pm.
