Amanda Kinchla, food scienceSmall Businesses Put Food Safety First 

Amanda Kinchla, Extension associate professor in food science, was one of a team of food safety experts leading a USDA pilot program in entitled, "Food Safety First!" for small business entrepreneurs. The day-and-a-half long workshop was held in the Hudson Valley of New York. It focused on how to prevent food safety problems while developing new value-added local food products. (Lancaster Farming).
