Dr. Renae Moran from UMaine, Andre Tougas from Tougas Family Farm (MA) and Bill Pitts from Wafler Nursery (NY) will discuss their recent experiences with apple, cherry and peach cultivars.

Following Andre and Bill's discussion, Dr. Moran will discuss preliminary results of the Maine peach variety trial with 8 varieties (Blazingstar, Glowingstar, Coralstar, Lucky13, PF15, Messina, BuenOs2 and TangOs). Triumph - the new apple from the University of Minnesota that is scab resistant, winter hardy, easy to thin, annual bearing and tastes great. How does it compare to Honeycrisp in terms of consumer acceptance and storage problems?
