Scale Adults and Immature Crawlers

Adult scale insect surrounded by immature crawlers on the underside of a leaf. This is likely the Hemispherical scale. The scales remove a large amount of sap from host plants that result in honeydew drip from the scales. There are many host plants (this one is on bay), ferns and palms are also favorites.
