Worcester County 4-H Visual Presentation Day *DATE CHANGE NOTICE*

Event date/time:
Sunday, March 4, 2018 - 12:00am

Worcester County 4-H Visual Presentations will be held in Bolton at Nashoba Regional High School on March 3rd with a snow date of March 4th.  4-H members from all over Worcester County will be presenting on a variety of subjects.

Admission and parking are free.  Refreshments will be provided.  This is an excellent opportunity to see 4-H members in action.

Visual presentations are an excellent way for kids to gain confidence in public speaking. There are so many categories to choose from that every child should be able to find a subject that he or she feels comfortable with.

We encourage all clubs to participate in visuals.  Of all the programs that we offer in 4-H, visuals is the one program that as kids become adults, they come back to us with testimonials of how much public speaking has helped them in college and in their professional lives.  This is a skill and program that if you can entice your kids to get involved in, they will reap tremendous benefits in terms of their skill and comfort level in speaking to a group of people.  Public speaking is a skill that is often identified by many adults as causing major personal fear. Starting early and getting lots of practice is the way to overcome our fears and gain skills in public speaking.
