Agricultural Water Twilight Series - Part I: Water Use Regulations, Water Monitoring Tools, and Efficient Irrigation

The UMass Extension Vegetable Program is offering a series of online twilight meetings all about water! We will welcome extension specialists and farmers from Massachusetts and beyond to cover a range of water-related topics.

This is the first workshop in the series and will cover issues of water availability given the more frequent and prolonged periods of drought and more intense storms anticipated with climate change.


  • Rachel Schattman, UMaine Agroecology Lab - Water use regulations in New England
  • Joshua Faulkner, UVM Extension – Moisture monitoring technologies and irrigation efficiency
  • Tim Wilcox & Max Traunstein, Kitchen Garden Farm, Sunderland, MA – New tile drainage system, wells, and irrigation equipment
