New Food Safety Initiative: Northeast Regional Center

UMass is a collaborating partner to establish a Northeast Regional Center for Food Safety, Training, Education, Extension, Outreach, and Technical Assistance. The Northeast Regional Center will be lead by Chris Callhan from the Unversity of Vermont. The funding to support the development of the center is through a joint collaboration of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
