Mass Aggie Seminars 2021

Register online for any of the Mass Aggie seminars by clicking here. 

Important information for registrants:

Online sign ups: An email with tips on Zoom and other information will be sent at the beginning of the week prior to the Aggies you are registered for. Zoom access link and passcode will be sent the Friday afternoon prior to the event.

Mail in sign ups: We are currently working remotely. As such, mail is only collected on Friday. Once the mail has been collected those of you who sent in your forms will be contacted with both the Zoom instructions and link and passcode. Please be sure to include your email, written legibly. 

Video access: These meetings will be recorded. A private link to the video will be shared with paid registrants only. This link will expire two months after you receive it.

If you do not wish to register online, you may print a registration mail-in form. Click 2021_mass_aggie_mail_in.pdf for the 2021 Mass Aggie Workshop Series, and you will open a pdf version of the registration form. You can print this form, select the seminars that you wish to attend, and mail it with a check written out to UMass for the appropriate amount. 

Sign up for all four Home Orchard Series workshops and receive a bundled package discount. Mail-in discount is not in addition to the bundle package discount rate.

Fruit Tree Grafting - a Virtual Workshop*

Many people do not realize that all apple varieties are reproduced by grafting - they are not grown from seed. For horticultural enthusiasts, one of the most satisfying techniques to master is grafting. Wes Autio will present a workshop on “bench grafting” and “cleft grafting” of apple trees. Other grafting techniques will be discussed.  Proper tools and sharpening will not be included. All workshop participants will graft several apple trees to take home!* Registration deadline March 12, 12:00pm
 

 

 

* This year plant materials will be delivered to participants so they can remotely participate in this hands-on workshop. Participants will need to provide their own tools. For improved success, be sure all blades are sharpened prior to use.
