Snow Mold Field Day - Bretton Woods, NH

Event date/time:
Thursday, April 13, 2017 - 9:30am to 11:30am

Snow mold trials are used for testing new and commonly used snow mold fungicides/bio products against native populations of pink snow mold (Microdochium nivale) and Typhula blight (Typhula spp.). These field days provide an opportunity to see first-hand the results of the UMass Turf Program’s snow mold trials. In the fall of 2016, treatments were applied on fairway turf. Snow mold identification, fungicide options for snow mold control and snow biology will be covered at the field days. This year is shaping up for an excellent year to observe snow mold and products evaluated for snow mold control. We have worked hard to schedule these events before most courses are open and hope that some of you can get away to look at new options for snow mold control and discuss all things turf pathology!

This meeting field day will be held in conjunction with the monthly New Hampshire Golf Course Superintendents Association meeting.  A light breakfast will be served from 9-9:30 AM.  Education (1 hour indoor session and a tour of the snow mold plots) will be held from 9:30-11:30 AM.

2 New Hampshire pesticide contact hours will be offered.
