Calling architects, building owners and managers, energy professionals, and HVAC contractors for an introduction to energy-efficient heat pump and variable refrigerant flow (VRF) technology. This training will include how these technologies work, comparisons to other heating and cooling equipment, how to identify appropriate applications, and how to earn incentives toward installation costs from MassCEC. Additionally, case studies will be presented as well as next steps for including VRF in your projects. Modern, cold-climate heat pumps provide highly controllable, energy-efficient heating and cooling to a variety of building types. For a solid introduction to heat pump and variable refrigerant flow (VRF) technology, join the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center and UMass Amherst’s Clean Energy Extension for a repeat of last fall’s sold-out workshop. This fast-paced session will address how VRFs work, comparisons to other heating and cooling equipment, how to identify appropriate applications, architectural factors, case studies, how to obtain Massachusetts incentives toward installation costs, and next steps to including VRF in your projects.
Thursday, March 14, 2019 - 8:30am
