Project Title:
Biodiversity Boost: Unleashing Ecosystem Services for a Thriving Planet
Program Year:
Farms and Food Systems

Hi, My name is Caitlin Alisauskas and I took about seven years off after high school before deciding to go to college. Currently I am a Greenfield Community College student majoring in Farm and Food Systems. I found a passion for Houseplants during the pandemic and I had decided I not only wanted to go back to school, but I know what I wanted to focus on too. I am very close to graduating with my Associates Degree and I have big plans to hopefully transfer to UMASS into the Sustainable Food and Farming Bachelors program.

This internship was shown to me by my advisor, and I almost passed it up. I was scared, I don’t know what but after being here for just one day, I knew this was where I was meant to be. This internship has been one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever had the opportunity to do. I am so thankful for all the connections and opportunities that this program has opened the doors to. I don't know where these next few years will take me, but I sure hope it involves Extension.
