McLandsborough is an experienced administrator who has completed the HERS Leadership Institute. She has served as the Head of the Department of Food Science since 2020, and Co-Chairs the Food Science Industry Advisory Board. She will step out of the Department Head role while serving as CAFE Director.

McLandsborough earned her BA in Microbiology from Miami University and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Food Science from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. She has been a member of the UMass faculty since 1995 and is well known for her expertise and dedication to the field, which have made her a valuable asset to the university and the wider food industry.
