UMass Snow Mold Field Day - Pittsfield, MA

Event date/time:
Friday, April 10, 2015 - 10:30am to 12:30pm

The UMass Turf Pathology Lab's snow mold trials are used for testing new and commonly used snow mold fungicides/bio products against native populations of pink snow mold (Microdochium nivale) and Typhula blight (Typhula spp.).  These field days provide an opportunity to see first-hand the results of the latest snow mold trials.  In the fall of 2014, treatments were applied on fairway turf.  Snow mold identification, fungicide options for snow mold control and snow mold biology will be covered at each program.

Two pesticide contact hours in Massachusetts categories 37 (turf) and 00 (licensed applicator) valid for licenses in all New England states have approved.

Registration

All registration is handled on-site on the day of the event and the fee is $20 (cash or check only, please). Registration includes light refreshments and the field efficacy results from each site.  Lunch will be available after the close of the program, but is not included in registration.

Follow the Turf Pathology lab on Twitter (@UMassTurfPath) for timely updates and pictures as we rate snow mold trials in the coming weeks.
