Water Innovation Workshop

Event date/time:
Monday, October 24, 2016 - 8:30am to 5:30pm

This one-day workshop, sponsored by the National Science Foundation, will bring together 150 individuals from academia, industry and the government to identify, address, and share solutions to improve water supply abundance, access and safety. The workshop will be conducted in partnership with SENCER (Science Education for New Civic Engagements and Responsibilities), the New England Water Innovation Network (NEWIN), the UMass Water Resources Research Center, and the Campus Compact organizations from Massachusetts, Maine, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island.

The Water Resources Research Center is helping to coordinate the breakout session titled “Water Sustainability Management”, which will focus on ensuring sufficient quantity and quality of our region’s water supplies, which is especially important in drought years like the one we’re currently experiencing.

Registration is free and open to the public. Please visit the website below for more information.
