As many of you know, we are in the process of hiring a new tree-fruit extension specialist. We are fortunate to have the opportunity to maintain this position. We must, however, be very careful in our search and offer the position to the individual that will offer the most benefit to our tree-fruit industry.
The search committee (Wes Autio, Bill Broderick, Bill Coli, Bob Davis, Duane Greene, Kathleen Leahy, Ron Prokopy, Tim Smith, Tina Smith, Mo Tougas) reviewed 20 applications for the position. It was an impressive pool of candidates, many of whom could do the job well. We selected four individuals to interview, and as part of the interview process, each of the four will give a talk to growers. These talks ae scheduled for January 19 and 27. Individuals, times, and topics are listed below. Please make every effort to attend these talks.
