Pesticide Applicator License Exams Training Workshops
This optional workshop, which is sponsored by UMass Extension Pesticide Education Program is designed to help individuals prepare for the Massachusetts pesticide applicator license exam. Individuals who participated in this workshop in 2019 had higher passing rate than those who did not take the workshop . This workshop provides a review of the study manuals and is not intended to replace a thorough reading of the study manuals on your own.

Location: Online using Zoom Video Conference
- 1st day 7:45a.m.-12:30p.m.
- 2nd day 8:00 a.m.- 12:30 p.m.
- 3rd day 8:00 a.m.- 12:30 p.m.
- $170.00/person for purchase with credit card (This covers the cost of the workshop only; study manuals and exam fees are not included).
All attendees are required to read and understand the Pesticide Applicator Core Manual (3rd edition) and Massachusetts Core Supplement (2014).
In addition, they should read the Massachusetts Pesticide Control Act (amended May 2015) and Massachusetts Pesticide Regulations (amendments 2016). These are the study manuals that you will need to take the applicator license exam. The order form will help you obtain the needed materials.
Please remember to order your study materials well in advance of the selected workshop!
This workshop is optional
It is offered in order for you to have an opportunity to discuss questions that you have regarding the study manuals. Therefore you should read the study manuals prior to attending the workshop. This workshop will not cover information in the certification training manuals.
Please contact the Pesticide Education Program as soon as possible if you require any special accommodations for the three day workshop.
The UMass Extension Pesticide Education program reserves the right to cancel workshops if there are less than 12 pre-registered participants. To determine whether or not a meeting is canceled due to low enrollment please contact the Pesticide Education office.
If the Pesticide Education office receives your registration and workshop payment prior to the workshop, handouts will be emailed to you to use during the workshop.
