Delegates Return from National 4-H Congress

Massachusetts delegates to National 4-H Congress just returned from a busy four days in Atlanta, Georgia.  The delegates were chosen to represent their peers in Massachusetts 4-H based on application packets they submitted for judging.  Those selected were Lydia Fitton-Alves, Jennifer Shearly, Emma Smakal, Caroline Tolton and Lee Ammons.  The group is pictured here with their chaperone, 4-H Educator VaShon Wallace Hiltpold.

While in Atlanta the delegates conducted community service projects across the city of Atlanta including cleaning up Piedmont Park and assisting special needs students at the Pitner Elementary School.  But this experience was not all work!  They also toured local points of interest; the Georgia Aquarium and Headline News.  In addition, they participated in workshops and were inspired by motivational speakers.
