During this time of COVID-19 and virtual learning staff, leaders and youth have stepped up to offer innovative projects and opportunities for youth to feel connected with their club and their community. It has also been a time for clubs to come together and share ideas, youth to meet other youth from across the state in zoom and to develop a sense of community. The Scandinavian Star project offered a project that was easy to assemble supplies to distribute or for people to gather. What started off as a simple idea for a club to learn and work together turned out to be so much more, bringing together youth, volunteers and staff from across the state. Youth can then take what they learned to make stars that can be donated to people in their community.
